Well, just got back from my sis's middle school graduation ceremony. It doesn't sound much, but it's an accomplishment, seeing that she's kept her grades up way higher than I ever could. TT_TT


Oh, you'll never guess what happened when we got there. I found a fork on the road, all alone and with no place to go, so I adopted it. I call him Terry. 83

Yes, as I put my selected and re-watermarked works back up, I noticed that even after the ceremony (I was interrupted in the midst of re-posting, so I wasn't done then) I already got a bunch of faves and comments from a couple of my watchers. I would like to point out that, as a female of the human species, I am both flattered and annoyed at this. ಠ_ಠ

Flattered because I can see that you all missed my work, but annoyed because... why the heck do you think I'm such a good artist? Is it the close-to-disney-or-anime style, or is it the creativity? Either way, I'm technically supposed to be the suckiest artist alive. Most artists are smart and know what they're doing, I'm the idiot drawing what comes to heart and not to mind. And when it comes to me and drawing/speaking/thinking from the heart, I tend to be very oblivious to the logic of things, and people point out the wrongness of the logic, not the art of it all. Well... I never liked following logic, anyways. It always hurt my head and sends me spiraling to depression and hopelesness.

Art is not art, if it does not come from the heart. No matter how precise, or beautiful the work is, if it does not portray emotion, it truly is not art. That's what we were told when I took basic drawing in college. I guess in this world, not a lot of people like to stop an look at the strokes of emotion behind the painter's brush, or the drawer's pen. I appreciate those who do, and even some constructive critizism is good.


It's amazing that my art skills grow each and every day. I guess I sorta feel how artists from the Renaissance days worked. I mostly studied how things looked in real life and took mental notes from there, and I look at other artists' works for reference. Too bad I can't revolutionize any styles, or something like that. XD
